El presidente del país ha anunciado que ya tiene la petición de asilo político del excontratista de la CIA buscado por Estados Unidos tras revelar una masiva red de espionaje.

Estados Unidos advirtió hoy de que a Snowden no se le debe
permitir viajar a otro país que no sea EE.UU., en respuesta a las
ofertas de asilo que el joven ha recibido desde Latinoamérica.

Maduro respondió al decir que “EE.UU. no gobierna el mundo y menos nos gobierna a nosotros. Nosotros somos un país libre y soberano”, afirmó.

Venezuela cuenta con el apoyo de Cuba para ningunear las advertencias de Estados Unidos. La Habana podría servir de escala ya que no hay vuelos directos desde el aeropuerto moscovita de Sheremétievo donde se encuentra Snowden desde el 23 de junio pasado.
